Formby High School is a very welcoming, friendly and proudly inclusive school. Over many years, the school has maintained a strong reputation both locally and nationally and we are justifiably proud of the achievements and success of our young people.
We have the highest aspirations for each one of our students, who consistently achieve very strong GCSE and A-Level results. However, we passionately believe that supporting academic achievement is only one part of what we do. At Formby High School we are committed to the broader personal development of young people, and to providing our students with a rich, rounded education that inspires and empowers them. By developing character and self-respect, our goal at Formby High is to nurture confident, intellectually curious and morally decent young people who are well prepared for the opportunities and challenges of life in the modern world.
Positive relationships are the foundation of our school. At Formby High School we seek to ensure that these relationships are founded on mutual respect and understanding, with good behaviour and attitudes underpinned in school by clear and consistent expectations and routines.
As Headteacher, I ask for three simple commitments from everyone in the school: to aim high, work hard and show respect. At Formby High School we insist on high standards and have very high aspirations and expectations for all our students. Our school motto, ‘Determined to Achieve’ describes the ambition and resilience we seek to foster in our students.
