In March 2026, our talented Music Department team headed to the Arch Recording Studio in Southport for another mega-project. To support to magnificent work of the Clatterbridge Cancer Charity, we assembled the combined voices of four fantastic local pop choirs and also lots of guest voices from across the Clatterbridge community. We hope you will love the result of this amazing weekend. The choirs involved are G:Force Gospel Choir, Voiceworks, the Sefton Voice Collective and the Liverpool Show Choir. The song ‘River’ was originally recorded in 1994 by British singer songwriter Julia Fordham, who has had a close connection with the Music Department & G:Force for a number of years. Julia’s beautiful song really supports the message of hope, resilience, love and care offered by the Clatterbridge community. Please watch right to the end of the video for something really special – all the way from California!

If you love the recording, we really encourage you to head to the Clatterbridge Cancer Charity website and make a donation! 1 in 2 local people will be affected by cancer in the Merseyside region – please support this amazing charity to move forward into a brighter future. https://clatterbridgecharity.org/.  The song ‘premieres’ from 7.00pm Saturday 25 April on our YouTube channel: ‘River’ charity recording for Clatterbridge.
