REACHING OUT TO THE UKRAINE
Everyone has been witnessing recent events in the Ukraine with sadness and a real sense of wanting to do something to help. Our Sixth Form Ambassadors were swift to act, coordinating a school effort to suport the Polish Integration Support Centre in Liverpool with essential supplies which will soon be shipped to the Polish borders to help those fleeing conflict in Ukraine. Within 24 hours, the Ambassadors mobilised the school community who responded by the box load! Thank you to one of our parents, Mr Davies, who not only donated first aid kits but arranged for a van and drove the donations himself to the depot in Liverpool. Sixth Form Ambassadors, including Thomas, Megan and Isabella who came in on their home study day, sorted and packed boxes filled with essential supplies and comforting items for children. Each box also contained lovely messages of support written in Ukrainian by Ms Lonsdale’s Year 7 Modern Languages students. Well done to everyone involved; we are very proud of your citizenship and generosity.
