On Tuesday 20 July, staff and students from Years 7-10 came together to enjoy Sports Day 2021on a glorious summer day. After a long and challenging year, much of it indoors and separated from each other, coming together for a thoroughly enjoyable and energetic event was a great way to finish the school year.

The students contesting the various track and field events put on a fabulous display of individual and team spirit, cheered along by their peers who were enthusiastic and vocal in their support. Thanks to Mr McGuinness and Mr Quayle for their entertaining compèring of the event and to the whole PE team for their excellent management and organisation.

A massive well done to everyone who took part and provided their full support to what was a memorable day for us all. Even one of our neighbours contacted the school during the event to express how good it was to hear the sound of children laughing and having fun. Here are just a few images of the afternoon…
