Before Christmas, Sixth Form students participated in a variety of events to raise money for a number of different charities and to support good causes in the local area. Students got fully involved in our first Bingo event in November to raise money for Children in Need, with lots of prizes donated by local businesses in Formby and won by a range of our Year 13 students. All students took part in Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day in December, wearing a variety of wonderfully festive knitwear whilst donating lots of money to a good cause at the same time. In the final week of term, the Sixth Form team, along with 10 students, delivered 29 carrier bags of food and Christmas items to the South Sefton Foodbank in Waterloo thanks to the many donations made from our sixth formers. Finally, on the last day of term, our annual Christmas Quiz and Bingo events took place with students getting into the festive mood and putting their hands in their pockets for one final time before the holidays. In total, our sixth formers raised over £600 for three very worthy charities, helping to make a huge difference over the festive period. Well done to all.
