On Wednesday 11 November, Year 11 Junior Leadership representatives Daisy and Thomas proudly represented Formby High School by laying a poppy wreath at the Formby War Memorial on behalf of us all to remember the fallen. The wreath from the school featured a heart-felt message of remembrance written by the students.
The whole school observed a two minute silence at 11am, preceded by a moving last post trumpet salute by Miss Dilworth which resonated around the campus on a beautiful autumn morning.
In classrooms, during the minutes of silence students watched a powerful presentation of images helping us all to remember and honour those who gave their lives for our freedom. The School Parliament has been busy selling poppies throughout school over recent days to support the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal – well done to all!
