FHS comes together for Children in Need each year and always puts the heart of the school community into fundraising. As well as a non-uniform day, students have been purchasing and donning their Pudsey merchandise – the school is bursting with furry ears and spots! There is also a raffle to win a Giant Pudsey with the winner yet to be announced! In Years 7 and 8, students have also held a cake sale to raise even more funds.
Putting activities together this year has been a challenge but nothing will get in the way of the generosity of the FHS community in getting behind this very worthy cause. In tutor time this week, students have been learning about the work of Children in Need and the impact it has on those it helps. The elves will begin the coin counting next week and we will update our totaliser on the website when the grand total is known.
Perhaps more than ever this year students have relished the fun and positivity involved in supporting others… perhaps the tag line for the Children in Need campaign this year is one we may all heed in the times we find ourselves in… Together We Can.
