Over three nights last week, our Year 7 students took to the stage for their Formby High School dramatic debuts in the pantomime ‘Aladdin’ and “didn’t they do well?!”
This year the panto took us away to the land of eastern promise where young Aladdin braved the skeleton-infested caves in search of the magic lamp for auntie Abanaza. Audiences were throroughly under the spell of our Genie of the Lamp and Genie of the Ring, and charmed by the performances of almost 100 Year 7 students. It is easy to forget that these young people have only just completed their first full term at secondary school. Not only does the panto get the whole school in the festive spirit, it also to brings together the entire Year 7 and builds confidence, friendships, teamwork, hardwork, enjoyment and fulfilment – everything FHS stands for! Well done to all the students and thanks to the staff for their hours and energy expended in supporting this fantastic production.
