Design and Technology

Key Stage 3

Students work in all 3 materials, woods, plastic and metals.  We produce a range of product, a key fob, small storage box, mobile phone stand, pewter jewellery and a desk lamp.  We also use current technology in all years by way of the laser cutter.  CAD software is an essential tool used as part of the designing, modelling and making processes

Key Stage 4

OCR GCSE Resistant Materials

Student will undertake two design and make projects, each worth 30% of their final GCSE.  40% of the GCSE is theory based,assessed by way of an examination.
