Into the Woods

Musical Theatre Club invite you to go ‘Into the Woods’ for their next performance which is inspired by the stories of the Brothers Grimm. A Baker and his wife are desperate for a child. To get what they want the are going to need to go on a perilous journey. Along the way they’ll meet Jack and his Beanstalk, Cinderella, Rapunzel, Little Red Riding Hood and a host of other characters all wishing for something in their lives to change!  There will be two performances here at FHS (13 and 14 March at 7pm) and tickets are now available to purchase via ParentPay.

Over the Rainbow

On Friday 27 March (7pm), our Musical Theatre Club will be taking us ‘Over the Rainbow’ where they will tell the classic tale of ‘The Wizard of Oz’ with magical songs and dance performances from ‘Wicked’ and ‘The Wiz’. Our Year 8 – 10 students have created this show with friends from Redgate Primary School who will be joining us for the performance.  We hope you can join us – tickets are now available to purchase via ParentPay.

BBC Bitesize at FHS

On Thursday 30 January, FHS welcomed a panel from BBC Bitesize who came to inform and inspire students about career possibilities in the Creative industry.  We all know, creativity is part of Formby High School’s identity and a vital factor in the school’s popularity and success.  The panel from BBC Bitesize held informative workshops with Years 8 and 9, along with students studying creative subjects at GCSE or A Level.
